Heading to Disney World? With all the planning that is involved with a Disney trip, the one thing you don’t want to worry about is what you’re going to wear!! Our family took a vacation to Disney World in May and we had the best time. Now I can share with you what I wore to the parks each day and give you some general ideas on what to wear to Disney in the warmer months! Here are some cute outfits to wear to Disney World.
Disney Outfit Ideas for Adults:
These Disney outfit ideas are so simple. You don’t need to get really dressed up in Disney due to the fact that you are going to be walking A LOT. It can get really hot in the Spring and Summer months so you will want to be as comfortable as possible. While I was expecting it to be warm, I didn’t realize we would be experiencing 95-degree days in May! Thankfully, I was prepared with comfortable and cool clothing(as cool as you can be). You don’t want clothing that is going to make you feel restricted so choosing the right clothing can really make all the difference in your trip!
Cute Outfits To Wear To Disney World
Lightweight Dress and Minnie Ears
I wore this tiered tan dress to Animal Kingdom. I thought the neutral look had a safari feel to it! The tiered dress was only $12 at Walmart! These t-shirt dresses are perfect because of their light loose fit and casual feel. I paired these biker shorts underneath so I felt comfortable getting in and out of rides.
How cute are these Champagne Mouse Ears?? They were only $10 and they go with everything. I wanted ears that I could mix and match with other outfits because I was only buying one pair.
I’ve never bought or seen the expensive ears from the Disney store and I’m sure they are amazing, but these were perfect for me.

Skort and Tank Top
This pleated skort is a new favorite of mine. I really love this trend! You can look so cute and have a more dressed-up look while still being so comfy because you’re wearing shorts! This skort is from amazon. It has a built-in pocket for your phone and it has a zipper pocket in the back of the skort as well. The pleated back gives it a really girlie look. Pair a skort with any type of tee or tank and you have the cutest Disney outfit! Then you can add a pair of Mouse Ears for pictures 🙂
Shop other skorts:
I paired the skort with this Target scoop neck ribbed tank.
I have it in two colors and I want it in more! These are great everyday tanks you can pair with anything. They are so soft too! Only $5 and come in lots of colors.
I also bought a belt bag for this trip! I honestly had no idea how much I would love this bag. It came in so handy and I can’t imagine not having it. It’s so much easier than carrying a purse. I could fit my phone, sunglasses, money, hand sanitizer, and tissues in this bag. I wore it all day long. It was so convenient for taking out my phone for videos and pictures along the trip and I kept it on me at all times.
This bag also comes in a bunch of other colors and patterns. I highly recommend these belt bags for travel.
Athletic Dress
An athletic dress is always a cute outfit to wear to Disney World. It’s the perfect option for those of you that really want to wear a dress, but want to stay casual at the same time. This Powersoft sleeveless shelf bra dress is a favorite of mine from Old Navy.
It has a built-in bra and shorts underneath! It makes it so easy to get in and out of rides. No worrying about holding down your dress all day. The top is a tank-style so this dress has you feeling covered and comfy all day. I don’t recommend sizing down on this one. I tried the xs and it was way too tight so I went with the small. This Powersoft dress is breathable and has stretch to it as well.

A Disney Tee and Shorts
While I was tempted to buy all the Mouse Ears and Disney graphic tees for every day of the week, I held back. I didn’t want to spend more than I needed to since the trip was already expensive enough:) I tried to stay on budget and keep it practical. I wanted outfits that I would be able to wear again and get more use out of. I showed some restraint and only bought one Disney tee and one set of Minnie Ears!!
This tee is from Target and it’s so soft! It comes in a few colors too. I paired it with my favorite denim shorts from Amazon

Tank and Casual Shorts
You can’t go wrong with a tank and a cute pair of comfy shorts. These Drawstring High Waisted Shorts from Amazon are my favorite. I did not have these for Disney, but I think they would be a great option. You could pair these with a Disney Tee too. They come in a bunch of colors I sized up to a medium for length. They are so comfy!!
Another option is to pair a tank with gauze shorts. Another trend that I’m loving for summer. The gauze material is so light and soft. The gauze shorts have a dressier look, but will have you feeling cool on those long hot days. Shared a few of my favorites below….

Jumpsuit
I wore this adorable wide leg jumpsuit for the plane ride. This would also be great for the park if the temps were in the 60’s/low 70’s. When we went it was way too hot so it was for the plane ride only. I think it would also be really cute for dinner styled with heels and some statement jewelry.
I brought this denim jacket for the plane ride and I kept it tucked in our rented stroller at the parks in case I got chilly at night.
As I mentioned previously, Disney is definitely casual so most people were dressed in athletic shorts, tees, leggings, etc. I did pack a nice dress for dinner at the Boathouse restaurant in Disney Springs. I knew we were having a relaxing day at the hotel pool so I had time to change for our dinner. I did not bring a change of clothes for our dinners that were at the parks. I stayed in the same outfits all day long. I know some girls do bring a change of clothes for dinner, but these outfits were fine for the restaurants we went to.

Good sneakers are a must-have. I wore these Adidas advantage sneakers and these Adidas Lux sneakers the whole trip. My feet never hurt at all. So forget the pretty sandals and bring a few pairs of comfy sneakers. If not, make sure the sandals you bring have good support!
Another must-have is a hat!! Whether it’s a baseball hat, straw hat, or visor. I alternated between wearing my Minnie ears and a baseball cap the whole trip. You may have full sun your whole trip so hats are a must to protect your skin.
As you can see, there are lots of cute outfits to wear to Disney World that are affordable and simple! You can be cute and casual while staying comfortable and enjoying your Disney vacation.
I hope this has helped make your planning a little easier!! Have a wonderful trip!!
